Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}9.1.40. STEERING RATIOS. We attach a table showing the steering ratios we propose for our range of bent front pan chassis. As you will notice we propose to have two cams, the new low ratio and the existing B.V. ratio, and one length of pendulum lever. This involves reducing the ratio for Bentlet to 16.87 compared with 14.8 for B.V. However, we wish to start with this and if it proves necessary make a longer lever later.
