Further to yours of the 28th and our telephone conversation this morning, we would confirm that, if all goes well, we would be able to post the light-weight Bentley Pistons to you on Tuesday night, and we will make every effort to do this. We sincerely trust, therefore, that as a result, you will be able to get them on the car going to France in the near future. With regard to Gudgeon Pins, our experiments in this direction have revealed that by increasing the bore to a limiting dimension of safety, a saving of .55 oz. would be obtained. We propose to fit the further two sets of light-weight pistons, requested by you this morning, with these pins, and will advise you when delivery is made.
