Copies to:- R.{Sir Henry Royce} CJ. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BJ14/H29823. 29th August, 1923. Messrs. Rolls-Royce of America, Inc., Springfield, Mass., U.S.A. Dear Sirs, Alterations and Contemplated Alterations to Rolls-Royce Cars in America. Mr. Royce, together with Messrs. Hives, Platford have fully discussed and considered the alterations and contemplated alterations to Rolls-Royce cars in America. We cabled to you to-day as attached, and we enclose a copy of Kl/M24.8.23, sheets 1 to 6. The standardisation sheets in connection with the items agreed will be forwarded to you shortly. You will note that some of the items have not been agreed, and others require further tests to be made at Derby before a decision can be arrived at. In discussing these items it was realised that it was impossible to deal immediately with every alteration which has been suggested by Springfield, and the most important and urgent items have been dealt with first. The rest have been left in the hands of Mr. Elliott to place before Mr. Royce for his consideration at the earliest possible moment. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED, (Sgd.) B. Johnson. General Manager. ENCL: | ||
