We have tried out the Wilmot Breedon Rover type door locks on an experimental car, although the mileage is not large and we have no continental experience to back us up, we should like to have a complete set fitted to one of the new experimental bodies now being made. The first effort with the type of lock we objected to on account of the inability to close the door, should the release catch be accidently touched, also we knocked out the rubber bush in the striking plate when closing the door. Both these faults have now been modified in a further sample lock known as the R.3. type and which we have fitted to 26.G.6. Mr. Smye of Wilmot Breedon had the work in hand. We have also what appears to be a good sample lock known as the V.5 type which we intend fitting to an experimental car, this should be cheaper to supply, and was also supplied by Mr. Smye of Wilmot Breedon.
