+8830 To CJ. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} S E C R E T. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}7/LG29.10.24. EAC.11. X2770 +8830 With reference to CJ1/E28.10.24. The body which is fitted to 98-NK car is a 2-door Cabriolet - the driver is enclosed. LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}, DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}, C, and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} will be in Derby tomorrow as we are to demonstrate to them the advantages of the sub-frame on the 20 HP. We had in mind, when they were together, that we should be able to go over the question of bodies for EAC.11. We have a Barker totally enclosed limousine which we wish to put on to an EAC.11. chassis. We would like, before doing so, for the sub-frame for carrying the body to be fitted. The Camshaft which is going to be fitted to 93-NK gives us equal power to the old standard one. It gives us a further advantage that the valves do not leave their seats until a higher engine speed. When FN. had the e EAC.11. car in France, the speed was limited by the valves leaving their seats. The gear ratio of the back axle will be 15/52. We anticipate, for the EAC.11 car, 15/52 will be the standard ratio for closed cars, and 16/52 for the speed models. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
