With reference to your memo. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 7/LG4,2,20, the following is copy of a letter dated 11th. inst. to hand this morning from Thos. Whittle & Sons.Ltd., Warrington:-

"We are in receipt of your letter of the 5th.inst,
"and in reply beg to state that our representative
"reported the result of his conversation with you,
"and the matter is now in the hands of our Mr.
"Whittle Junr. who is away from business for a few
"days, but upon his return we will put the question
"before him and write you further".
