By the time I reached Cambridge the red column had disappeared entirely off the scale, which seems to confirm what I previously told you, namely, that every time it is fitted to a car which is driven on a bumpy road the zero error increases, and on this last occasion by a large amount. Paul Dykes is coming over to see me for the T.T. on September 3rd. and I am wondering if you could have it working again so that he could bring it back.
