Phantom III Tappets - E.87336.

Referring to Roy{Sir Henry Royce}/Dn.7/Me.12.3.36. in connection with chrome hardening of wearing surfaces, we would confirm that a number of the above parts have been satisfactorily processed by Messrs. Durion Ltd. London.

whilst the cost of treatment is the same, i.e 1/3d each, Durions are able to apply a more even and sounder deposit as compared with the Fescol process and a minimum of post-deposition grinding is required in order to restore the pad profile.

It is also understood there are certain features peculiar to the Durion process which will improve the quality of adhesion to the base material.
