Huckerby} Date 1st. November 1939. G.H.Grylls Esq., Rolls-Royce Limited, DERBY. Dear Mr. Grylls, Thanks for yours of the 31st. October from which I was glad to note that the misunderstanding about the Shell No.1 Spirit at our Derby Depot has now been cleared up and that you will be getting a supply of this in the course of the next few days. You will remember you asked me what the E.P. position was likely to be with Pool Oils and whilst I cannot tell you any more than I did then regarding the advent of these grades, I could, if you would like it, let you have very unofficially a 5-gallon drum of a blend which will more or less represent what the Pool E.P. Oil will be. You can take it that the specification of this particular oil is that of the Pool E.P. but as and when these come on the market is quite another matter. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, Gordon W. Todd | ||
