Dear Sirs,

One of your experimental staff telephoned on Saturday morning to the effect that a big end bearing had failed on the Rudge single cylinder unit while running a water cooled head with no crankcase or oil cooling arrangements.

We can confirm that where no cooling blast is impinging upon the crankcase it is absolutely necessary to put the oil through a cooler.

We do not appear to have received an order for the parts referred to, but the following items are being put in hand for despatch to-morrow, and we trust this is in order:-

1. Connecting Rod.
1. Crank Pin and Nuts.
1. Cage.
1. Set of Rollers.
