Hydraulic Dampers.

The bolt holding the rocking lever on the shaft has evidently stretched allowing the load to be taken by the woodruff key. The two front dampers have been very bad in this respect. The key of the N.S. has been sheared right off close to the shaft. The O.S. key is very much worn. On this damper we found the bolt loose towards the end of the test and we were able to tighten up the nut half a turn.

The other parts of the dampers are considered to be good for the mileage covered. No parts would have to be replaced.

Axle Control Brackets.

The wear of the contacts has been slight after increasing the Bijur supply from a 1 to a 2.
Wear has taken place in the anchor bearings of the control brackets.

Chassis Frame.

Cracks have started from the holes bored for supporting the front and rear shock dampers. The bolt heads holding the dampers have localised the stress causing the cracks.
