| S/W. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re- Phantom III. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}12/KW25.11.35. Could you please produce for us a curve of acceleration figures on the various gears. We think this will be very useful and helpful in discussing this car with various people. Also, as you know, from time to time there are published in the technical journals accounts of tests of other cars in which acceleration figures are shown, and it might be a useful guide if we could have results on the same basis, as well as any additional figures you may care to give us. These results seem to be somewhat on the following lines :- From rest to 50 m.p.h. through gears " " " 60 " " " " " " 70 etc " " " 10 - 30 on top 20 - 40 " " 30 - 50 " " Possibly, however, your curve of acceleration would show all these and a good deal more besides. Will you please let us know if you have such figures, and if not whether you could procure them for us. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Clurk | ||
