In view of this he proposes a note should be added in the Instruction Book describing how this defect may be remedied. We shall be glad to have your approval of the following note:- If the clutch is noticed to develop a squeak this objectionable noise can be cured by first thoroughly washing the clutch out with a mixture of petrol and paraffin, and then running all the oil out through the plug hole A in the flywheel, fig.52. The clutch lining may then be re-dressed with engine oil in the usual way. It is advantageous when the car is not in use to jack the clutch out of engagement.
