X6018 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.4/AD. February 19th, 1932. The Joseph Lucas Research Laboratories, Well St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} Birmingham. For the attention of Mr. R.M. Smith. Dear Sirs, Thank you very much for the extremely interesting time spent at your Works on Wednesday. With reference to the various points arising out of our discussion with Dr. Turner and yourself, we comment as follows :- (1) Scintilla dynamo and regulator. We have looked up the curves for this and attach same herewith showing the output hot of this dynamo with the regulator in action at various voltages. (2) Patent numbers of Bijur system drive. We cannot trace these at the moment but will look them up still further and if possible let you have the numbers for your reference. (3) Rubber for windscreen wiper blades. We mentioned to Mr. Whitehouse and, we believe, to yourself, the possibility of using artificial rubber for windscreen wiper blades. We had in mind the grade of material known as Maconita used as an extruded covering for cables. The address of the firm which manufacturers this material is The MacIntosh Cable Co.Ltd, Derby. | ||
