For a 40/50 car having similar weight on the front axle, we should at present fit front springs with a rating of 315 lbs. per inch. When we fit front wheel brakes, the rating of the front springs will be 420 lbs. per inch. It will be seen that the rating of the Hispano front springs is not as high as we anticipated.
