Filter for loose solder in the bottom water connections - Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/AP.12.3.37. Referring to the proposals in the above memo and our conversation on the matter with Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. this morning, we think the idea to put a gauze in the pump elbow or in the radiator joint washer is open to various objections. A simple scheme which can be tried is to tin an inverted cup shaped gauze to the inside of the radiator outlet elbow. In this position it cannot be mislaid when assembling, and also it does not introduce any difficulties in making a joint between the elbow face and the bottom of the radiator. The shape is such that it will have an ample area. We send you herewith LeC.5586. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
