x6135 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.1/MA. 27th October, 1934. Messrs.S.Smith & Sons Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2. For the attention of Mr.C.W.Nichols. Dear Sir, We have a small experimental rig which requires a very slow moving spindle with small torque, and it has occurred to me that one of you synchronos electric clock movements might do the work very well. Will you therefore please, kindly forward me on approval for test one of your synchronos electric movements type H which is arranged for half motion work. If this is found suitable we shall probably want three of these and we will pass you an order later accordingly. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
