To Sr.... (Sr is struck through) from By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 450c ? By.14/N.29.6.39. I understand from a recent letter of M.Paulin that he has been engaged on the design and full size drawing for the production Bentley bodies. Whilst I am delighted that he should render you every possible assistance as a critic of form and design, I do not wish him to be occupied with the details of design, or the control of the production of these bodies, or to be worried about such details as accessories, all of which I presumed EWP.{Mr Punt} should deal with. It is very essential that M.Paulin should not be overloaded in his present state of health. He has a full-time job to perfect and complete the remaining five Corniche bodies, and to deal with the many designs which I have asked him to produce for us in connection with Experimental and Development work, all of which are urgent.
