(For the attention of Mr. Sanderson).

Dear Sirs,

You will remember that we recently had a conversation with you with regard to the price we pay for experimental body mounting when carried out by your firm.

At the time you expressed your concern that we had not asked you to revise your quotations before going to a competitor. We pointed out that it was necessary to get competitive quotations in order to arrive at a fair figure for the cost of the work.

This has now been demonstrated by the fact that the figure which has been established by your competitors is only slightly more than 50% of the sum which we have to pay Messrs. Sanderson & Holmes.

Under the circumstances, it seems certain that we shall have to give the work to them unless you are able to do the work at, approximately, the same figure.

Yours faithfully,

For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
