BY/SS.{S. Smith} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} V3436 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG21.2.24. 40/50 CHASSIS - EXHAUST CHOKE VALVE SPRING E.22678. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} has complained that the pressure required to operate the accelerator pedal is considerably greater on the latest 40/50 cars with the improved control for the exhaust choke. We have looked into this and find that there is more pressure than is necessary. We recommend that the wire link E.22679 is extended to 2.5 centres. This still gives us ample spring pressure. The experimental cars are fitted with a different type of spring. We recommend that these altered wire links are fitted to all cars on test. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
