COPY. SECRET. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re "SpectreCodename for Phantom III" Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}9/KW14.11.54. I was very interested in reading E8/HP8.11.54 and if the car does come up to all these expectations it should be a very fine job. We could perhaps add one or two suggestions for the Works consideration, and I would put forward the following for their information if you consider it necessary:- (1) A better system of jacking than at present. I hope they might be able to include the hydraulic jacking system. The present scheme, D.W.S., whilst an improvement on what we had before, is a very laborious process. (2) Good visibility from low front seats Continental type. We are only just able to provide the necessary visibility of the nearside front wing from the driver's seat, and I hope it may be possible to give us at least no worse visibility than on the Continental but preferably slightly improved conditions of this sort. It is a tremendous relief to see the front wings comfortably when driving in thick traffic. | ||
