Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 13/NJW161120. 16th November,1920. Messrs. The Conner Magneto & Ignition Ltd., Coventry. X.4210 Dear Sirs, Referring to the visit which your Managing Director, Mr. Conner, paid us today and to the 6-cyl. magneto No.8263 which he left with us, we will proceed to make a few comparative tests and will in due time report the results to you, but we wish it to be clearly understood that we are not to be held responsible for depreciation through wear and tear, or damage which the magneto may sustain while in our hands and any report which we may send to you must not be published. If the comparative tests are sufficiently encouraging, we may desire to carry out further tests, in which case we will communicate with you and ascertain whether you are willing that we carry out the further tests, although said further tests may result in further damage and even the destruction of the magneto. Will you kindly say that you agree to these conditions. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. (Sgd) J.P.Whitehead. | ||
