M.I.Auto.E. TELEPHONE - PARK 4009 OLAF STREET LATIMER ROAD (Next Barker's Coachworks) LONDON W.11 Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Derby. 17th December 1936. For the attention of Mr. Grylls. Dear Sirs, We duly received your wire dated the 16th inst., asking for Lightened Bumpers, to which we replied advising you that the Bumpers had already been despatched per Passenger Train. To-day, the writer has been in touch with your Mr. Lappin who mentioned the urgency for these Bumpers, incidentally we wrote you on the 25th ulto., explaining the cause for delay and although the steel was then advised we did not receive it for several days and then only after many letters and telephone calls. However, we hope to hear that you have now received these Bumpers safely. You will note these bumper bars are drilled to enable Over-riders to be fitted. A sample pair of which have recently been sent to Mr. Elliott. Early in the new year, we hope to fit these as standard. Thanking you and assuring you of our best attention at all times. Yours faithfully, J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} R.{Sir Henry Royce} ENGINEERING CO. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} Ridlington THE J.R.
