Tests on P&R & Exide N.S.I. Battery (S.S.G.)
This battery has now run 12,706 miles satisfactorily & is composed of one P&R unit & one Exide unit each having the very latest modifications as outlined in JD{J. Draper - Frames}48 3-1-30.
The P&R unit has the moulded vent plug with the same size thread as that of the Exide making the two interchangeable.
std check
This plug has shown itself to be very good & does not appear to allow any acid spraying to occur. We consider this to be an improvement on the porcelain type of vent & should be standardized on the merits of the above test.
On Low Rate Discharge 60.9 ampere hours were obtained. All cells showed positive weakness.
