26-G-VI - Chassis Lubrication System.

For the rear spring shackles we should like you to use bijur plugs ZS.3. At the moment we use on

Phantom III ----- ZS.5
25 H.P. ----- ZS.3
Bentley. ----- ZS.3

As this plug feeds 3 shackle pins and then the rear half of the rear springs it is important that there is sufficient oil to reach the springs. I expect your trouble is mainly due to the eyes of the springs leaking oil, as Woodhead spring eyes are not clewer.

Bottom Yoke Bearing.

As this is a spring loaded ball it was intended to avoid using a restriction plug. However it appears that the ball does not retain oil (possibly due to insufficient spring load) and you are quite right to fit ZS.2 in order to get oil to other parts of the lubrication system.
