To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 1280 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.2/MH.{M. Huckerby}16.2.38. WRAITH BOTTOM WATER CONNECTION. The sample connection to EW.1633 supplied by The Leyland & Birmingham Rubber Co. Ltd. has been approved by By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} and Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}, but it may be necessary to modify the shape of this connection slightly in order to avoid a foul between the bottom water pipe and the engine. Will you, therefore, instruct the Leyland & Birmingham Co. not to proceed with the manufacture of these connections until receipt of further instructions from us. We have already instructed them verbally to this effect over the telephone. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
