With the sump oil temperature at 8°F the following engine R.P.M. were taken on Mobiloil Arctic - 100 Castrol CW. - 70 - 75 Castrol AA. {D. Abbot Anderson} - 70 - 75 Shell Light - 40 Duckham's N.P.XX. - 30 A test on Summer oil, Castrol XL, shows that we can start easily with the oil temperature down to 23°F lower than this a start is made but takes longer.
