Exptl. Dept. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KW. 9th April, 1934. H.C. Barnes, Esq., The Aluminium Co. of America, 3311, Dunn Road, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Mr. Barnes, Referring to your letter of March 16th, I should be very much obliged if you would obtain the rings you recommend from the Perfect Circle Piston Ring Coy. of America, and supply them with the pistons, submitting the cost of these rings to Mr. J.S. Inskip, of Rolls-Royce America (Inc.), who will settle the account. Even if the pistons have been despatched I should be glad if you would send the rings on, as we want to test out the latest American practice. Thank you for the trouble you have taken in this matter. Yours very truly, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
