Extract from EHL/G181216. RE AIRSHIP ENGINES X.2814 The Kingsnorth people are, on their own, fitting Remy-battery ignition to our series 1 engines, which they have fitted in the N S. airships. The battery ignition suits the airship people because they carry accumulators for lighting and wireless. I have heard from other people, very good reports of the Remy-ignition. The rigid people are now asking us to fit Remy-ignition to their engines, but I think it would be much better if we could fix them up our sixth series engine. There are a number of improvements, such as valves, which would be very suitable on the airship engine. EH. [Upside down text:] R.R. & S. (Derby) Ltd. (S.D.) 44. 7-9-17. (2) G.1996 | ||
