1158 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.10/JH. 14th July, 1937. Messrs. Clayton Deandre Ltd., Titanic Works, LINCOLN. For the attention of Mr.S.E.Willet. Dear Sirs, We are returning to you a car heater of your S.2.R.A. type which has been in stock for a long time but which has not been used. As we shall be requiring later to carry out comparative car heater tests on the road, we would like you if possible to convert this heater to your S.2.C.A. type which gives a greater output, and also supply us with the necessary controlling theostat and switch. On receipt of your assurance that you can do this we will send you an official order for this work. We would like you to explain what advantage is obtained with your CC type heater, this appears to give the same output as your S.2.C.A. heater and weigh about 1 lb. 11 ozs. more. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
