X6134 E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.8/MA.18.11.32. PEREGRINE STARTER MOTOR. In reply to your E.4/HP.29.10.32., and confirming our conversation. There is no intention on our part to seriously consider the motor we fitted to the 10,000 miles test Peregrine 2 Per.II as being suitable for general use. We only modified the motor using up as much as we could of the existing parts in order to get the motor to work reasonably well enough in the time we had available A number of experiments are in hand all of which are calculated to modify the motor in the direction of reduced armature heating etc. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
