To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} +758 10-EX CAR. +8774 We are arranging that Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} will test this car on Brooklands early next week. It will be possible to make tests with and without the tail portion on the body. After these tests are completed, the car will be left with Sales in London. We propose letting our man Dodd stay with the car when it is in London as he knows all the features on the car and it will avoid anyone else being aware that there is a modified engine fitted to the car.
