IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PURCHASER AND PERSON MAKING INSTALLATION OF SPARTON SOS HORN

The Sparks-Withington Company, manufacturers of the SOS Horn, is particularly desirous that every purchaser derives the maximum benefit, also procures the best possible results in an aid towards safe motoring. Therefore, the following suggestions and information are offered relative to this particular model.

1. The SPARTON SOS is carefully adjusted with a fully charged battery.

2. Do not attempt to readjust horn until battery connections and all wiring are in proper order.

3. The enclosed folder contains a complete list of Official Service Representatives, who have been thoroughly instructed on this particular model, and can aid you considerably in case any trouble should develop.

4. There is one small envelope in each carton containing the Terminal nuts & washers, also Supporting Bracket nuts & washers. Do not remove any nuts or washers assembled to horn, as this will have a tendency to change the adjustment.

If the horn does not come to a good tone, before attempting to change it, operate it independent of the car—that is, if it has been attached, detach it and possibly hold in the hand and sound it.

If SPARTON SOS is mounted in accordance with instructions given in the accompanying folder, the sound waves or sound projection will be most efficient. In other words, horns should be mounted with a SPARTON SOS Supporting Bracket, which have special laminated portions where it attaches to horn. When dash mounting is necessary, make sure our dash Bracket is used, as horn will not operate satisfactorily when attached directly to a metal dash.

While it is not feasible to stock supporting arms for every model of car, we have adapted and carry in stock a great many; also some brackets which are, to a certain extent, universal or applicable to several makes or models. Therefore, if trouble is experienced in placing horn in proper position, communicate with a SPARTON dealer or service station, or write directly to the factory, where information will be gladly supplied relative to the proper mounting.
