Belt Tests X19G

It is proposed to carry out these tests on the large bed plate in the Test Shop.

Dynamo Belt Bed:

A 6 HP motor is mounted on a C.I plate which has a tongue to fit in the T slot in the bed plate.
A small fixed countershaft running in Swivel Ball Bearings is driven by the motor through a two inch belt.
To run the countershaft at 400 or 1600 revs. two coned pulleys are employed.
Various sizes of driving pulleys are keyed on the Countershaft & located endways by an allen safety set screw, so that any size pulley can be lined up with Dynamo Pulley.
The Dynamo is mounted on another C.I. plate of box section which slides in a groove in the bed plate.
