' I hope you will think that the arrangement we have suggested is simple and safe from leakage of air point of view, and worthy of the little extra trouble of fitting the small piece of sylphon tube instead of a gland. As we have schemed it appears impossible to damage it or for it to leak the air pressure, which is so very important, and it avoids xx a cock lubricated with petrol in a dirty place, which is so very undesirable.

X. 2768. In connection with this new back tank, which should be available very soon for the American cars at least, it would be necessary to modify the float feed chamber on the carburettor, so that there is a filter embodied in it. The best one that we have is that shewn on the "Condor", and I think it would be quite a good thing to ignore the whole of the present mechanism, providing a complete one of the "Condor" type could be easily applied.
