Dear Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}
I am coming up to Derby on Tuesday next (20th) and am advising Ellor of my mode of transport & time of arrival. I expect to see best also, because I am now at Harrogate - god help me - & am on sparking plugs at the moment. I am in R.D.E.3. but am also directly responsible to Tedder. I expect to be in & around the works up to & including Thursday of next week, as there is a meeting to be held there on plugs - on that day.
I'd like to see you & Mrs Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} again & perhaps we can have dinner one evening - all of us. I'd like to see Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} again sometime, if that is possible, & discuss "after war problems"!! I therefore look
