9th February, 1937.

The Earl of Rothes,
Messrs. Brocklehurst-Whiston Amalgamated Ltd.,
Leith House,
47, Gresham Street,
LONDON. E.C. 2.

Dear Lord Rothes,

Thank you for your letter.

We shall not actually be able to carry out any work on your car in the Experimental Dept., but Mr. Grylls will give it a run and then get in touch with the Repair Department who will be able to do the necessary work. My real recommendation was that you should let us try it up here before you actually purchase, so that we may make sure you are not getting "a pig in a poke".

I expect to sail on the 17th.

Yours sincerely,
