DERBY.

For the Attention of Mr. Rowbotham.

Dear Sirs,

We enclose, as requested by Mr. Steadman, details of the analysed weights of the various Matrices showing the effect on the final weights of variations in thickness, tinning, etc., and we should be glad if you would treat these figures as confidential.

We understand that you are proposing to experiment with an American Matrix 52 mm. thick, and that you would like us to make up one of the same thickness. We have put this in hand using .006" waterways and .004" centres, all tinned, but we cannot obtain suitable material until the 29th April. We should be able to complete the matrix by the 4th May and we trust that this time will be convenient to you.

Yours faithfully,

for JOHN MARSTON, Limited,
Howard Southall
Works Engineer.

Encl.
