Dear Mr. Rowbottom, As promised the other day, I now send you a copy of the Experimental and Research Department article. It is not entirely complete as the section dealing with the Skid Pan and one about the Records of parts and weights are missing, and they will go into the second instalment. It was arranged if you recollect, that you would look through this material, and then send it by your Express Service to London, in order that Major Cox should have an opportunity to go through it from his angle. Would you ask him to be kind enough to post the draft, together with any corrections he may wish to make, direct to Mr. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} J. {Mr Johnson W.M.} Appleby, at the Autocar London Office, as early as possible? I enclose you a list of the illustrations which we have in hand, supplied to me on the telephone by Crosby today. When I came to examine it, I found that most of the photographs which he requested are purely to enable him to do his sketches, which is rather disconcerting, as I understood that he was also asking for photographs which would be usable.
