RR 238 (150 BKS.) (D3 431-8 12 24) MP 306975 X.6006 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To EFC. Order No. PD 56. Customer's No. Oct. 29th 1930 x6006 48 Coil High Output Dynamo I.O.I.M. This machine, the first of the 48 coil high output type, was fitted on 23EX on 2-4-30, on which car it ran 18,674 miles including the 10,000 miles test of that car in France. We have now examined and bench tested this dynamo, the results being as follows. The insulation of the machine was found to be quite O.K. Brush wear appeared to be quite normal, the brushes themselves being in very good condition, and free in their holders. The condition of the commutator was good. Brush dust deposit was reasonable in amount. The machine was put through a testing test, and an output curve taken, in which respect it was found to have maintained its original bench performance, in which the peak output was 16 amperes at 30 m/hr speed. Generally, this dynamo has been entirely satisfactory. Signed C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
