EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/AGR. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. c. to By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} V1812. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MA.4.2.35. AERO SPARKING PLUGS. Answering your EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/AGR.7/MH.{M. Huckerby}31.1.35., although we have recommended the V9/1B plug for all purposes on the re-rated Kestrels as far as we are aware the Air Ministry have not approved the same for flight purposes. The Lodge A2/2, A2B/2 and the K.L.G. V7/2, V7/2B are the only plugs which have the official sanction of the Air Ministry although in the case of the latter we have only K.L.G.'s word for approval the Ministry have not yet officially notified us. We should say therefore that strictly officially you are not in order in supplying V9/1B plugs for flight purposes. Mr.Jaques should check this for you in case he has later information which has not yet reached us. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. | ||
