Rod clearance tests and the supply of bearings to Leyland for road condition testing.

was .0033 to .0035 but Leyland's for their preliminary tests with a view to observing the effect of seizure fitted these rods with a clearance of only .0025. They appear to have run perfectly well with this clearance there being no signs of seizure on any of the bearings.

We have supplied Leylands with twelve bearings altogether and they are now going to fix six of these to a customer's engine for tests under actual road conditions.
