Timing diagrams based on start and finish of heavy accelerations equivalent to .013 tappet clearance.

We expect with open exhaust, 3000 RPM., to equal at least 85 BHP. i.e. 100 BMEP., with good car running conditions, and possibly 95 with 5.5 comp. ratio, and 3250 RPM., say 105 BMEP., with sports conditions.

BACK AXLE. Hypoid back axle on purpose to get the floor low.

BRAKES. Stiffer brake drums with swivelling tips.

ENGINE HEAD. The special cast iron head for this engine has two lots of free ports suitable for a shorter induction system, and two single carburetters. We are very pleased to hear that there is no need to alter the system of exhaust from that used on T. 2. head which was adopted because it was tested on the old 20HP. as being efficient, and was the simplest that could be devised.
