BENTLEY - BONNET CLIP ANCHORAGE.

Referring to C.6/C.1.12.33. the first 15 chassis were fitted with a clip anchorage bracket made in aluminium. One of these broke, and it was agreed to change the material to steel, and all present production parts are being produced in the new material.

In view of the danger which might occur if one of the brackets failed, and the bonnet lifted, I have instructed Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to have the parts changed on all 15 chassis at present on the road.
