S/W. To EWT. c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} (COPY.) PN{Mr Northey}6/EH.1.11.26. Frank Fisher, Esq. - Chassis No.44-EU. With reference to the attached memo, I am arranging with the owner for this car to come to you, if possible, during this week. I should like EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}, and Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} to find time to sit at the back of this car before it is touched. I cannot think that on inspection and examination it will be found very difficult to make a material improvement in the springing. I want you, please, to advise me when you have finished your work in connection with this car, and I will either come to Derby or arrange to try it in some other way before it is sent back to the owner. I am under the impression that the construction of the rear seat cushion does not make for comfort in this car; there is not sufficient depth, and on a bad bump one very soon realises that there is a hard seat.
