BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c, to B.J. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 47080 E1/M4. 5. 28. EAC.10 WHEELCASE & THROTTLE GOVERNOR. X. 7140 X. 7170 X. 7080 X. 7070 We send herewith Lec. 2556 shewing the throttle governor control, and giving particulars of modifications to the wheelcase and standard throttle governor to suit this engine. You will notice that we have been compelled to slightly modify the outline of the wheelcase to obtain an adequate oil supply for the trough lubricating the governor. In this design we have also modified the outline of the governor casing, enabling the fan to sweep in front of the governor. The position shewn on this drawing of the fan centre we are informed by CamachaHenry Royce's office in West Wittering is suitable for EAC.10. Further designs will follow giving particulars of the remainder of the throttle control. Regarding the induction pipe for EAC.10. we are increasing the dia. of the uptake from 2" to 2½", as also the carburetter throttle valve. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
