85010. To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} E.4/HP.21.12.32. 54553 re Bensport engine and larger crankshaft for 20/25. --------------------------------- We find it necessary to use studs instead of bolts for securing the main bearings on Bensport on account of the petrol pump drive. This affects the main bearing caps for the larger crankshaft on 20/25 which wer interchangeable with Bensport. We are dependent on Bensport for type testing the new bearing caps, etc. for the bigger crankshaft. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
