RR 238 (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 451-8-12-24) MP 306975 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. 19 To Order No. 2 Customer's No. as standard. the only modification we understand being to the poles. It will be seen that the advantage of this is the better output at high speeds. Added to this the commutation is we think somewhat better. The curves, however, are not strictly comparative as another effect of the modification is to increase the temperature rise (in one case to 68C° as compared with 58C° in the standard case I) so that the output shown is higher than it would otherwise be and the margin of safety is less. As a true comparison, curve III shows the output of a 24 slot machine with trailed poles, also set for a high temperature rise (65C°) for use in conjunction Signed (Contd) This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
