Dear Sirs, We are in receipt of your letter of the 5th inst. in reference to continuing experiments with interleaving in our Patent Grooved Section Springs. We ourselves are only too pleased to co-operate with you in an endeavour to find a Spauldite which not only wears, but is free from noise. We have been carrying forward a few experiments over the last two or three months, and feel that possibly one or two suggestions might help you. Therefore Mr. Woodhead telephoned to Mr. Martindale, to find that he had returned from leave back to the Forces, and, consequently, we are rather at a loss to know whom we should contact. If you could let us know with whom you would like us to work out these experiments we should be only too happy to collaborate. Mr. Woodhead would gladly call at Derby to straighten this matter out if you are so desirous, and would be glad to know when this would suit your convenience.
