E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Yorks.

Dear Sirs,

Your letter of August 6th. to hand with thanks.

We note that as a result of this Company supplying you with an arrangement of the 3½ litre Bentley front axle scheme, you have been able to produce and fit your special design of independent front wheel suspension to your own 3½ litre Bentley, and that you consider that it is successful in every way.

We are undoubtedly interested in seeing what has been achieved, and our Experimental Department would like to have an opportunity of testing out the car in question. Monday or Tuesday of next week would be suitable for our Experimental Department officials, and if therefore you could make this convenient we would arrange to keep these two days open.

We wish to thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and giving us the opportunity of seeing how the car behaves on the road fitted with your type of independent front wheel suspension.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.

TECHNICAL PRODUCTION ENGINEER.
